Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - A new initiative is underway to transform how residents in the Watertown area connect with service opportunities. Watertown Area Neighborhood Volunteers, in partnership with Codington Connects, has launched a Community Engagement and Volunteer Survey to gather vital feedback from the region.
The primary goal of the survey is to help define and shape a future Volunteer Coordinator role for the area. By collecting data from a wide range of local voices, organizers hope to identify current barriers to service and uncover new ways for the community to grow together.
Who Should Participate?
The survey is not just for individuals; the organizers are looking for a comprehensive view of the local landscape by hearing from:
· Non-Profit Organizations
· Local Businesses
· Faith Communities
· Community Members
Building a Stronger Community
According to the organizers, the mission of this effort is to “foster meaningful relationships and to create opportunities for engagement, growth, and support across the community." The feedback gathered will be instrumental in creating a coordinated network that matches local talent and passion with the specific needs of Watertown organizations.
How to Get Involved
As an added incentive for sharing your time, those who complete the survey will be entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card.
Residents and organization leaders can participate in the following ways:
· Scan the QR code on official flyers using a smartphone camera.
· Follow the digital link provided in the initiative’s announcements.
· Call 605-882-6286 for questions or more information regarding the survey.
