Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The Watertown Optimist Club held a productive meeting yesterday, marked by the induction of two new members and a focused effort to support the local non-profit organization, Rachel's Hope. The club's activities reflect its long-standing commitment to community service and "Bringing Out the Best in Kids."

The meeting welcomed new members, Terry Fjeldheim and Tucker Hermans, to the organization, strengthening the club's membership base as it continues its service work in Watertown.

In a key part of the day's agenda, the club hosted Amanda Woodruff from Rachel's Hope.

This organization is dedicated to the belief that everyone should have access to necessities, providing personal hygiene and household cleaning essentials to anyone in need, regardless of their life circumstances. Optimist Club members responded by gathering a substantial collection of donated items and monetary contributions to support the charity's mission.

The Watertown Optimist Club, which has been a pillar in the community since 1976, continues to invite interested individuals to join its efforts. The club meets on the second and fourth Thursdays at noon at Pizza Ranch. Those interested in membership are encouraged to click the hyperlink to their social page for more information.
