Watertown Post 17 Opens Creighton Prep Tournament With 12–6 Win Over Bryant, Arkansas

Northeast Radio SD News – Gretna, NE - Watertown Post 17 started strong at the Creighton Prep Tournament on Thursday, powering past Bryant, Arkansas, 12–6 behind a four-RBI performance from Cole Hansen.
Hansen led the offense with three hits, while Carter Busker added three hits and an RBI as part of Watertown’s 10-hit outing. Cain Everson, Sam Olson, Jackson McClemans, and Jaxon Falax also contributed at the plate.
Kooper Heiser earned the start for Post 17, working 4 1/3 innings and allowing six runs on eight hits. Tripp Jorgenson closed the door in relief, throwing 2 2/3 innings of one-hit baseball to secure the save.
Bryant finished with nine hits, led by Jaxon Riggs, who went 2-for-4. Lynden Johnson and Jake Elliot each drove in a run. The Black Sox used five pitchers in the game, with Jeremiah Motes taking the loss after giving up five runs on one hit and four walks in a single inning.
Watertown improves to 25-15 overall and 10-7 in regional play. Post 17 continues tournament action today with two games — facing Lincoln East at noon, followed by host Gretna at 2:30 p.m.
