Watertown Post 17’s Jackson McClemans, Markus Pitkin Named to 2026 South Dakota American Legion Baseball All-State Teams

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - wo standout Watertown Post 17 players have been selected to the 2026 South Dakota American Legion Baseball All‑State Teams, earning recognition from coaches across the state after exceptional summer seasons.

McClemans Named First‑Team All‑State After Record‑Setting Season

Jackson McClemans earned a First‑Team All‑State selection following one of the strongest pitching seasons in Watertown Legion history.

McClemans set a new single‑season ERA record at 1.22, breaking the previous program mark. He also tied the single‑season wins record with 11, and his 22 appearances ranked second‑most all‑time. His 97.1 innings pitched tied for third‑most in program history.

Pitkin Earns Second‑Team All‑State for Two‑Way Performance

Markus Pitkin was named to the Second‑Team All‑State, recognized for his impact both offensively and defensively. Pitkin hit .358 with 68 hits, 60 RBIs, and a .460 on‑base percentage. In center field, he posted a .947 fielding percentage on 114 total chances. Pitkin also contributed on the mound, recording a 1.575 ERA across 11 appearances.

Post 17’s Carter Buisker and Hunter Halajian both earned honorable mention recognition. Buisker capped off an impressive season at the plate, hitting .368 with 39 RBIs. Halajian was a key contributor on the mound, appearing in 18 games while posting a 9-3 record and a 3.035 ERA.
