Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - With the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally set for August 7–16, Watertown is gearing up for its annual Rally Rush, a community‑wide celebration running from late July through August that welcomes riders traveling to and from the world‑famous event.

Rally Rush has become one of Watertown’s summer traditions — a chance for local businesses, organizations, and residents to showcase the city’s hospitality to thousands of motorcyclists passing through the region. Visit Watertown is encouraging the community to participate in this year’s celebration by decorating storefronts, offering rider specials, hosting events, and creating displays that help give visitors a memorable first impression of the city.

Businesses and residents are invited to share photos of their Rally Rush decorations or promotions with Visit Watertown. Submissions can be emailed to emily@visitwatertownsd.com for possible promotion to visitors and on social media.

Rally Rush Shirts Available for Businesses

To help create a unified welcome across the community, Visit Watertown is offering 2026 Rally Rush shirts for front‑line staff. The shirts are designed to help businesses show their support and make riders feel at home as soon as they arrive in town.

The order deadline is July 17 at 12:00 p.m.

Community Events and Free Swag

Residents can get into the Rally Rush spirit at two upcoming events:

·         Thursday Night Live – July 30

·         Concerts on Kemp – August 5

Visit Watertown will host a booth at both events, offering free Rally Rush swag, information, and opportunities to learn more about how to participate in the celebration.

How Local Businesses Can Get Involved

Visit Watertown is encouraging businesses to take part in several simple ways:

·         Offer Rally Rush specials and share them with Visit Watertown or tag the organization on social media.

·         Display a Rally Rush welcome poster (limited quantities available at Visit Watertown).

·         Decorate storefronts with Rally Rush or motorcycle‑themed décor to help create a warm, inviting atmosphere for riders.

A Citywide Welcome

Rally Rush continues to grow each year as more businesses and residents join in. Visit Watertown says the goal is simple: give every rider a great first impression of the community and highlight the hospitality that sets Watertown apart.
