Watertown Sees Turnout for National "No Kings" Demonstrations

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - A local demonstration, part of the national "No Kings" movement, took place on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The event was organized to advocate for what participants described as the defense of democracy and constitutional principles.


According to a post from the official Facebook page for 50501 South Dakota, a grassroots organizing group for the movement, the Watertown rally saw an estimated turnout of around 300 people, according to attendees who also shared information and photos of the event with Northeast Radio SD News.


The Watertown gathering was one of several "No Kings" demonstrations held across the state on October 18, which also included reported events in Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Pierre, Mitchell, Aberdeen, Brookings, Huron, Sturgis, Vermillion, and Yankton.
