Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The City of Watertown will begin a short water improvement project this week that will temporarily affect access along 13th Avenue Southeast. According to the city’s Engineering and Wastewater Division, work is scheduled to start Tuesday, August 25, and wrap up by Thursday, August 27, barring any unforeseen delays.
Crews will be working near 14th Street Southeast in the area of 1303 13th Avenue SE, and the cul‑de‑sac on the west end of 13th Avenue SE will be closed to traffic during the project. The city notes that residents should expect periods when driveway access may be limited.
Officials are asking motorists to use caution in the work zone, follow all posted traffic control signs, and watch for flaggers. Businesses in the area will remain accessible for most of the project, but drivers are asked not to park on the street within active work areas.
Anyone with questions can contact the City of Watertown Engineering Division at (605) 882‑6202.
