Watertown Yard of the Month Winners Announced for June 2026

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Yard of the Month Committee has announced the winners for June, recognizing residents and a local business for exceptional landscaping and community pride.

This month’s honorees span all five wards, along with a whimsical category and a business winner.

According to the release, the award highlights “the efforts of Watertown residents who take pride in their landscaping and inspire others to do the same.”

June 2026 Winners

·         Ward A: Troy & Pam Grensberg, 1330 12th St. NE

·         Ward B: Lee Schull & Lisa Ronke Schull, 507 20th Ave. NW

·         Ward C: Elvira Moen & Traci Meyer, 309 6th St. Circle SW

·         Ward D: Lynn Osthus, 817 1st Ave. SE

·         Ward E: Debbie Henricks, 3309 12th Ave. NW

·         Whimsical Category: Jaunita Lentz, 323 10th Ave. NE

·         Business Category: Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel, 1311 4th St. NE

Winners receive a Yard of the Month sign, a certificate signed by the mayor, Watertown Bucks, and “of course, bragging rights,” the committee noted.

Nominations for future months can be submitted at several local businesses — including County Fair Foods, Curated, Gather, Watertown Flowers, Watertown Regional Library, and Wheel Inn — or online at bit.ly/WatertownYardoftheMonth. Property owners may nominate their own yard.

This award is presented monthly in June, July, and August.
