1.3 Kilos of Meth and Cocaine Lead to 10-Year Federal Sentence for Chicago Man in Sioux Falls Case

Northeast Radio SD News – South Dakota - A Chicago man has been sentenced to more than a decade in federal prison after officers discovered large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine during a traffic stop in Sioux Falls.
U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons announced that 32‑year‑old Antonio Baker was sentenced on April 20 by U.S. District Chief Judge Roberto A. Lange to 10 years and five months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Baker was also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
Baker was indicted by a federal grand jury in November 2024 and pleaded guilty on January 20, 2026, to Possession of a Controlled Substance with the intent to distribute.
According to court documents, Sioux Falls Police officers conducted a traffic stop on Baker’s vehicle on July 9, 2024. A police K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading officers to search the vehicle. Inside, they found:
· 895 grams of methamphetamine
· 233 grams of cocaine
· 258 grams of crack cocaine
Baker was arrested at the scene.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Hodges.
Baker was immediately remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service following sentencing
