Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Watertown Arrows showed resilience on the road Friday night, rallying late in both games to sweep the Brookings Bobcats in a doubleheader at Bob Shelden Field.

Game 1: Watertown 6, Brookings 4

Watertown jumped ahead early with a three‑run third inning, fueled by RBI singles from Jonathan Lake and Jackson McClemans. The Arrows added two more in the fourth to build a 6‑0 lead before Brookings mounted a comeback with runs in the fourth, sixth, and seventh innings.

Hunter Halajian earned the win, striking out six over six innings while allowing three runs on four hits. Cain Everson closed in relief to secure the victory. McClemans and Lake led the offense with two hits apiece. Brookings’ Jase Bauer and Baker Hanson each had two hits, while Nolan Krogman took the loss.

Game 2: Watertown 8, Brookings 7

The nightcap turned into a slugfest as Watertown overcame an early four‑run deficit. After Brookings’ six‑run first inning, the Arrows chipped away — scoring three in the second and adding single runs in the third and fourth. Maxx Sears delivered the go‑ahead RBI single in the sixth to complete the comeback.

Sam Olson, Everson, and Sears each collected two hits, with Olson and Everson driving in two runs apiece. Kooper Heiser earned the win with six innings of work and four strikeouts, while Markus Pitkin recorded the save.
