Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - Watertown’s Bramble Links Disc Golf Course has earned statewide recognition, landing at #4 on UDisc’s 2026 list of top disc golf courses in South Dakota, according to a release from the Watertown Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department.

UDisc — the leading disc golf app and course directory — evaluated more than 100 courses across the state. The ranking highlights the strong reception Bramble Links has received since its major redesign in 2024.

The course, formerly known as the Slumberland course, underwent a full redevelopment that added two pin placements per hole, alternate tee pads at water crossings, and multiple layout options for players ranging from beginners to advanced players. The redesign also introduced a separate 9‑hole skills development course.

UDisc co-founders Matt Krueger and Josh Lichti praised the accomplishment, noting in the release: “Disc golf is one of the fastest-growing recreational activities in the world… It takes time, care, and community to create award-winning disc golf experiences that leave players coming back for more, and this ranking is a testament to that hard work.”

Parks & Recreation Director Dusty Rodiek said the course’s popularity has exceeded expectations. Since reopening, Bramble Links has drawn players from 27 states, hosted multiple sanctioned tournaments, and continues to serve as an affordable outdoor recreation option for the community.

Disc golf, which follows rules similar to traditional golf but uses flying discs and metal baskets, has grown rapidly nationwide due to its accessibility and low cost.
