Northeast Radio SD News – Clear Lake, SD - A holiday fundraising event dedicated to supporting research for a rare genetic disorder is set to take place in Clear Lake this month. "Crue's Christmas," organized in honor of 8-year-old Clear Lake resident Crue Bucknell, will be held on Saturday, November 22, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
The event aims to raise funds for the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation. Crue Bucknell has been diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that currently has no known cure. The fundraiser aims to support ongoing research while bringing the community together during the holiday season.
Scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the event offers a variety of activities for attendees. Organizers have arranged Christmas shopping suitable for all ages, along with a bake sale and a coffee bar. Family-friendly activities include a photo booth and crafts designed for children.
The event is being promoted under the theme "Where Christmas Magic Becomes the Gift of Hope."
St. Paul's Lutheran Church is located at 711 6th Ave S in Clear Lake. The public is encouraged to attend to support the Bucknell family and the broader effort to find a cure for Sanfilippo Syndrome. https://www.facebook.com/events/1146766040213367
