Hamlin County Sheriff Seeks Owners of Two Dogs Found Running Loose Near Hazel

Northeast Radio SD News - Hazel, SD - The Hamlin County Sheriff's Office issued an alert on Monday, September 29, 2025, after two dogs were found running loose in rural Hazel.


The Sheriff's Office received a call on Monday morning regarding the two dogs. They were last seen near the intersection of 447th Avenue and 182nd Street.


The alert, categorized as Minor, indicates a minimal to no known threat to life or property. Authorities described the event as an "Ongoing Investigation" with an expected responsive action to be taken soon.


The Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information to identify the animals and locate their owners. The public is advised to contact the Sheriff's Office if they recognize the dogs or have information regarding their ownership.
