Hamlin County Sheriff Seeks Public Assistance in Identifying Theft Suspect

Northeast Radio SD News - Castlewood, SD - The Hamlin County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect allegedly involved in a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred in Castlewood.


Deputies responded to a report of the incident on Friday, October 10, 2025, at approximately 10:10 p.m.


The Sheriff’s Office has obtained security camera footage of the individual believed to be involved in the theft. It is now seeking assistance in identifying the person captured in the images.


Authorities encourage anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information related to the incident to contact the Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office directly at (605) 783-3232.


The Sheriff's Office concluded the public release by expressing appreciation for the community’s assistance in its efforts to maintain safety.
