Iroquois Man Indicted on Aggravated Assault Charge in November Shooting

Northeast Radio SD News - Iroquois, SD - South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has announced that a Kingsbury County Grand Jury has indicted an Iroquois man on one felony count of Aggravated Assault in connection with a shooting that occurred on November 22 in Iroquois.
Ace Bordeaux, 40, was indicted on Friday, December 5. The charge stems from an incident at a residence in Iroquois where a 47-year-old male victim suffered gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Huron for treatment.
If convicted, Bordeaux faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in state prison for the felony charge.
The incident was jointly investigated by the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Kingsbury Sheriff’s Office. The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case in collaboration with the Kingsbury County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Bordeaux has been released on bond, and a date for his next court appearance has not yet been scheduled. He is presumed innocent under the U.S. Constitution as the legal proceedings move forward.
