Lake Area Tech Announces New Dual Credit Scholarships and Build Dakota Event

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - Lake Area Technical College (LATC) has announced important updates to scholarship opportunities for both high school students taking dual-credit courses and those applying for the highly competitive Build Dakota Scholarship.

DUAL1

LATC’s foundation is now offering scholarships specifically for eligible students taking dual-credit courses through the college.


· Eligibility: Students who currently receive free or reduced school lunches and are obtaining or taking dual credit courses through Lake Area Tech are eligible to apply.

· Funding: These scholarships are available for half or full payment of the dual credit course tuition.

· How to Apply: Eligible students must contact their school counselor, who will provide them with a code to begin the application process.

· Deadline: The application period is currently open and will close on December 31st.


In addition to the dual credit funding, the application window for the Build Dakota Scholarship is set to open soon, offering a major opportunity for students entering high-demand fields.


· Application Period: The application opens on January 1st and remains open until March 31st.

· Requirement: Applicants must already be enrolled at Lake Area Tech to be eligible for the scholarship.

· To help potential Build Dakota recipients secure the necessary industry sponsorship, LATC will host its “Ready, Set, Go, Build Dakota” event on January 15th...

This event is designed to connect eligible participants—including high school juniors, seniors, and non-traditional students—with potential business sponsors.
