Pickup Truck Strikes Watertown Home; Driver Hospitalized

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - A late-night vehicle collision sent one person to the hospital after a pickup truck crashed into a local residence on Saturday night.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on March 7, Watertown Fire Rescue units Engine 1 and Medic 3 were dispatched to the 45600 block of 176th Street following reports of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a half-ton pickup truck had struck the exterior corner of a home’s front entryway.
While the collision caused visible damage to the home’s siding, officials confirmed that the structural integrity of the residence remained intact. The pickup truck involved sustained significant front-end damage, and its airbags were deployed during the impact.
Injuries and Response
The driver of the pickup, whose identity has not been released, was treated at the scene before being transported by ambulance to Prairie Lakes Hospital. The injuries were reported as minor.
Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted on the scene by several local and state agencies, including:

· Watertown Police Department
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
