SDDOT Schedules June 10 Public Meeting on Highway 22 Bridge Replacement Near Clear Lake

Northeast Radio SD News – Clear Lake, SD - The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will host a public meeting and open house on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, to discuss a proposed bridge structure replacement project in South Dakota: Highway 22, east of Interstate 29 near Clear Lake.


The meeting will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (CT) at the Clear Lake Community Center, located at 218 3rd Ave. S. A brief presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by an informal open house where attendees can speak one‑on‑one with project staff.


SDDOT representatives will be available to answer questions, review project details, and gather public input. Information will also be provided on right‑of‑way acquisition and relocation assistance. Officials say the meeting is intended to inform residents, business owners, and commuters while collecting feedback as the project moves forward. The project is being developed in accordance with state and federal environmental regulations.
