Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Watertown City Council will meet Monday night, July 8, with a consent agenda that includes authorization for the Police Department to apply for and receive an Airport Security Reimbursement Grant.

According to the agenda item, the grant reimburses the city for police officer wages related to airport security duties. The program allows reimbursement at a maximum rate of $25 per hour, with the department projecting 1,095 hours of annual coverage — totaling an estimated $27,375 in reimbursement.

City Manager Alan Stager submitted the item, noting that the grant carries no financial obligation for the city since it reimburses existing wages.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall. The item is listed under the consent agenda, meaning it is expected to be approved without discussion unless pulled for separate consideration.
