Watertown Fire Rescue Report Two Injured in T-Bone Crash on 176th Street & 458th Avenue

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - Watertown Fire Rescue responded late Saturday morning to a two‑vehicle crash that left two people injured and temporarily trapped inside their vehicle.
According to WFR, crews were dispatched at 11:15 a.m. on May 9 for a reported injury accident with entrapment. Engine 1, Medic 3, and Medic 1 responded from Station 1.
The collision involved two pickup trucks — a green 1979 single‑cab Chevrolet traveling westbound on 176th Street and a white 2004 four‑door GMC traveling southbound on 458th Avenue. The impact was described as a T‑bone style crash, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
WFR personnel assisted the occupants and transported two patients to Prairie Lakes Hospital Emergency Department for evaluation.
Crews remained on scene to clear debris and spilled fluids.
Agencies assisting included the Codington County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, and Performance Towing.
