Watertown Police Narcotics Investigation Leads to Four Arrests, Drug Seizure

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - A narcotics investigation conducted by the Watertown Police Department on October 3, 2025, resulted in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of multiple controlled substances, cash, and drug paraphernalia. The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation assisted in the operation.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., officers initially made contact with four individuals in downtown Watertown: Dalton Dampier, Daniel Beck, Kadance Kretzschmar, and Nicholas Thiel.

Subsequent searches led to the seizure of approximately 22 grams of cocaine, along with psilocybin mushrooms, amphetamine pills, and drug paraphernalia. An hour later, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a related search warrant was executed at the northwest Watertown residence of Daniel Beck.
All four individuals were arrested and face various drug-related charges.

All four suspects were transported to the Codington County Detention Center. Bond was set at $10,000 cash for Dampier, Beck, and Kretzschmar, and $2,000 cash for Thiel.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
