Watertown Regional Airport Passenger Numbers Soar in February

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - Air travel out of Watertown is on the rise, with the Watertown Regional Airport (ATY) reporting a solid bump in passenger traffic to close out the winter.


According to the latest data released on March 4, 2026, the airport recorded 1,076 passenger enplanements in February. This marks a major 23% increase compared to February of 2025.


Here is a closer look at how passengers are getting to their destinations:


·        Denver: In February, 550 passengers traveled through Denver. That is a 5% increase from last year.

·        Minneapolis–St. Paul: This route recorded 526 enplanements. This represents a 50% increase when compared to Chicago in February 2025.
