Watertown School Board Approves 2026–27 Fees, Committee Assignments and Annual District Designations

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Watertown School Board on Monday approved the district’s fees for the 2026–27 school year, confirmed committee assignments, and finalized several annual designations including financial depositories, legal counsel, and federal program coordinators.
Board Approves 2026–27 Fees
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Danielsen said the district’s activity ticket fees will remain unchanged for the upcoming school year. Nutrition service meal prices will increase by 10 cents for both breakfast and lunch. The district also approved its updated substitute pay scale for 2026–27.
The board voted unanimously to adopt the fee schedule:

Committee Assignments Set for 2026–27
The board approved committee positions for the new fiscal year with no changes from last year’s assignments. The approved list includes:
· Personnel: Roshal Rossman, Bailey Raml
· Property: Jean Moulton, Kari Lohr
· Northeast Tech High School: John Iverson, Jean Moulton, Kari Lohr (Rossman alternate)
· Legislative Representative: Roshal Rossman
· ASBSD Convention Delegate: Bailey Raml (Rossman alternate)
· Board of Equalization: Jean Moulton, Bisco, Bailey Raml
· Arrow Education: Lohr
· Professional Growth Committee: Rochelle Rossman, Jean Moulton
· LATC Foundation Board: John Iverson
· LATC Strategic Advisory Council: Rossman
· LATC Leadership Committee (Campus & Facilities): Jean Moulton, Lohr
The committee slate passed unanimously:
· Motion: Moulton
· Second: Lohr
Annual District Designations Approved
Official Financial Depository
The board designated First Premier Bank as the district’s official financial depository.
· Motion: Rossman
· Second: Raml
Official School Newspaper
The board voted to continue using the Watertown Current as the district’s official newspaper.
· Motion: Moulton
· Second: Lohr
Legal Counsel
The district will continue with Rory King of Vance, Gosh & Kramer, LLC, along with KSB School Law, as its legal counsel.

Federal & State Program Coordinators Appointed
The board approved the following coordinators for required federal programs:
· Title I: Emily Hatton, Principal of McKinley Early Childhood Center
· Section 504: Dr. Jennifer Bollinger, Special Services Director
· Title II / Homeless Education: Assistant Superintendent Derek Barrios
· Title IX: Activities Director Craig Boyens
All appointments passed unanimously.
