Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - In Watertown school board district property business, the board will consider authorizing the administration to advertise for bids on a new Chevrolet Suburban to update the district’s passenger-vehicle fleet.

Board members will also vote on a surplus property resolution authorizing Business Manager Heidi Clausen to surplus and dispose of district equipment.

The resolution designates a 2003 Workhorse box truck (food truck) with 94,519 miles and a 350 Chevy engine to be appraised and sold. The resolution names Wade Heiser, Alex Couser, and Don Stormo as the box truck. The same resolution authorizes the disposal of a 2003 Kingsbury baby grand piano and a 2007 DD Miller projection system.

Lake Area Technical College Property and Equipment Leases

For Lake Area Technical College, the board will vote on granting authority to advertise for competitive bids for avionics parts.

The board will also review an LATC surplus property resolution declaring two auto fleet transport vehicles as no longer necessary for district use:

·         1 Ford Escape (Vehicle Tag VT 18817)

The resolution appoints Shane Ortmeier, David Brown, and Todd Bretschneider as official appraisers to determine the vehicles' value before sale or trade.

Additionally, board members will review equipment lease agreements for LATC programs. The filings include a heavy equipment rental agreement with Dakota Iron Equipment for a DD130 crawler tractor at $5,250 per month, and an equipment demonstration and loaner agreement with Butler CAT for a GCS Machine Control System valued at $50,000, with an annual rental fee of $1,850.
