Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - The Watertown School District will recognize its 2026 retirees next month with a community open house celebrating years of service to local students and families.
The event will be held on Wednesday, May 13, from 3:45 to 5:00 p.m. in the Watertown High School Commons. The district notes that there will be no formal program, allowing guests to come and go freely and visit with retirees at their own pace. Light refreshments will be served.
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Danielsen announced the recognition event on Monday, emphasizing that it is open to the public and intended to honor the dedication and contributions of this year’s retiring staff members.
The district traditionally hosts an annual recognition gathering to thank employees who are retiring from education, many of whom have served Watertown students for decades.
More information is available through the Watertown School District Office.
