The city says traffic routes will continue to shift as work advances, with schedules subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen conditions.

As part of the Neighborhood Street Reconstruction Project on 5th Avenue North, the roadway remains closed from U.S. Highway 81 to Skyline Drive. Beginning Monday, July 20, 3rd Street NW will also close to traffic, and officials note this closure will last for an extended period while contractors work in the area.

The intersection of North Broadway and 5th Avenue will remain open.

Contractors will keep cross streets open when possible to help maintain traffic flow. Drivers are urged to follow posted signs and flagger instructions when traveling near construction zones.

Questions can be directed to the City of Watertown Engineering Division at (605) 882‑6202.
