Watertown Woman Changes Plea to Guilty to Child Pornography Charges

Northeast News SD - Watertown, SD - A Watertown woman has pleaded guilty to 16 felony charges related to child pornography and criminal solicitation as part of a plea agreement. On Wednesday, September 10, Gracie Ann Stanton, 19, changed her plea in Codington County Circuit Court when initially facing 71 charges.

According to the documents, Stanton pleaded guilty to:

·        One count of distributing child pornography.

·        Ten counts of possessing child pornography.

·        Five counts of criminal solicitation.

The plea agreement resulted in the dismissal of the remaining 55 felony charges that had been filed against her.

A sentencing hearing for Stanton has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, at 1:15 p.m. in Codington County Circuit Court.
