10th Avenue NE Closure Scheduled for Intersection Project in Watertown

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The Watertown Public Works Department is set to start work on the 2025 Intersection Improvements Project at the intersection of 10th Avenue NE and US Highway 81, beginning Monday, September 29.

The project scope includes reconstructing the roadway to install a turn lane. This will require the closure of 10th Avenue NE from US Highway 81 to 7th Street NE. The work is scheduled to be completed by October 4, pending any unforeseen issues and weather conditions.

Motorists are advised to find an alternate route during the construction period. As with all road work, drivers should use caution and follow all traffic control devices and flaggers.

Residences and businesses in the area are expected to remain accessible. Motorists are asked not to park on the street within the work zones.
