Fatal Farming Incident Reported Near Lake Norden

Northeast Radio SD News – Lake Norden, SD - A 55-year-old Lake Norden man died Saturday following a farming incident southwest of town.

At approximately 11:28 a.m. on December 20, the Watertown Regional Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting an unresponsive adult male. The individual had been discovered by a caller at a rural location about four miles southwest of Lake Norden, where he was found pinned by a tractor.

The Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office and Lake Norden Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, emergency personnel initiated life-saving measures; however, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identity of the individual is being withheld at this time, and the Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office has stated that no additional information regarding the incident is currently available.
