Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - Governor Larry Rhoden is set to headline the 24th annual Governor’s Luncheon at Lake Area Technical College (LATC) this May. The event, a long-standing partnership between the college and the South Dakota Governor’s office, serves as a primary fundraiser for student scholarships and campus infrastructure projects.
Event Details
The luncheon will take place on Tuesday, May 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It will be held in the Student Event Center on the fourth level of the LATC Student Center.
Underwritten by the Watertown Area Community Foundation, the tradition dates back to 2002. Tracy Buisker, speaking on behalf of the Lake Area Technical College Foundation, emphasized the event’s impact, noting that the partnership has generated thousands of dollars for student support over the last two decades.
Ticket Information
The luncheon is open to the general public, and organizers are encouraging early registration:
·        Cost: Tickets are $40 per person.
·        Alumni Discount: Lake Area Tech alumni receive a $5 discount by providing their graduation year at the time of purchase.
·        Deadline: The final day to secure tickets is noon on Tuesday, April 28.
