Travel South Dakota Launches Free Fall Adventures Passport Featuring Sica Hollow Near Sisseton

Northeast Radio SD News – Watertown, SD - With fall now underway, Travel South Dakota is encouraging residents and visitors to explore the state’s seasonal destinations through its new Autumn Adventures Passport, a free digital passport featuring more than 30 locations and events — including Sica Hollow State Park near Sisseton.

The passport showcases South Dakota’s fall landscapes, outdoor recreation sites, and family‑friendly events. Sica Hollow, known for its colorful hardwoods, steep ravines and natural springs, is one of the highlighted stops. The park’s unique geology and dense forest canopy make it one of the region’s most popular fall viewing areas.

“Fall is a truly amazing time to explore South Dakota,” said James Hagen, Secretary of the South Dakota Department of Tourism. “With this passport, visitors can find the perfect ways to make memories during this beautiful season.”

Other featured locations include the Spearfish Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch, Zoo Boo in Sioux Falls, and the Prairie Village Hobo Marlin Pumpkin Train in Madison.

The passport is free and requires no app download. Travelers can sign up on their mobile device, visit participating locations, and check in as they go. Each check‑in earns points redeemable for prizes through Travel South Dakota’s passport program. Once registered, users can save the passport directly to their smartphone home screen for quick access.
