Two-Vehicle Accident Disrupts Traffic Near Bramble Park Zoo

Northeast Radio SD News - Watertown, SD - The Watertown Police Department and Watertown Fire Rescue responded to a two-vehicle crash on Friday morning that temporarily disrupted traffic in the 900 Block of 10th St NW. The accident, which occurred at approximately 11:00 AM on November 1, 2025, resulted in substantial damage but no reported injuries.
The vehicles involved were a 2012 Gray Chrysler 300 Limited, driven by a 20-year-old male from Watertown, and a 2014 Green Chevy Silverado, driven by a 65-year-old male, also from Watertown.
According to video footage reviewed by authorities, the accident occurred when the Chevy Silverado, pulling out of a gravel lot on the west side of the road, struck the Chrysler 300, which was traveling southbound.

Following the impact on its passenger side, the Chrysler 300 crossed both the middle turning lane and the two northbound lanes before finally coming to a stop near the entrance of the Bramble Park Zoo parking lot.
· The Chrysler 300 sustained heavy damage to the front and rear passenger sides, as well as the rear bumper.
· The Silverado sustained front-end damage and was observed leaking fluids at the scene.
Both drivers declined medical attention, and no injuries were reported to emergency services. Both vehicles were later towed from the scene by Crocker’s Collision Towing.
Traffic in the area was disrupted for approximately 45 minutes as police investigated the scene and cleaned up. The Watertown Police Department stated that the investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending against the driver responsible.
